If two things can describe me, it's sensitive and sentimental–both are qualities I bring into my work. As a photographer, I tend to gravitate towards candid, documentary-style photos. I love shooting the in-between moments, where genuine emotions and connections shine through while emphasizing the details that make each moment unique and memorable. I aim to capture memories you can hold in times of joy and grief, where the weight of sentimentality is at its heaviest.

Here is a little bit about me:

My journey in photography began with my dad, a seasoned photographer who taught me to use my first point-and-shoot after tirelessly catching me messing with his fancy equipment. When I turned 15, he got me my first DSLR. Over the years, that camera has been with me and my best friends throughout various parking lot escapades, impromptu photoshoots, and annual Christmas pictures.

Since graduating from Baylor University, I’ve been on this wild ride of exploring new places and finally having the time to reconnect with things that bring me joy before pursuing a professional degree–messing with my dad's camera equipment being one of them. So here I am, walking in his footsteps and applying everything he's taught me.

As for who I am, I'm originally from Memphis, TN. I took a leap of faith and moved to Texas for college and have been here ever since. I'm an Aries zodiac and an Enneagram 5. My friends describe me as bubbly, encouraging, and optimistic. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me at Barnes & Noble finding my next read, exploring the city for a new coffee shop, or in my kitchen trying a new Pinterest recipe.

While all that's important, every step in my life has been guided by the unconditional and kind love of Jesus. My hope is that through my work, you will not only see the joy and connection of His people, but also feel His boundless love.

Whenever you're ready, I'd love to hear all about you & the things that make you who you are.

With love, Lyna
